Free Practice Tests

       Renewing or Thinking About Becoming a Notary Public?

      These practice tests are available for anyone preparing for the State Exam.

      Taking practice tests is a valuable way to learn the topic and gain confidence.

      Each question comes with a reference page number from our Course Manual.

  • The Course Manual is sent via email and delivered at class upon registration.

Caution: Be sure to study your course materials or the SOS Notary Handbook before beginning any Practice Tests.

About the State Notary Public Exam:

  • 30 multiple choice questions that are weighted;
    • some questions have a greater value than others

  • 100 points;
    • a score of 70 or better is needed to pass

  • Proctored exam;
    • 50 minutes
    • closed-book exam
    • you can write in the test booklet
    • must use a #2 lead pencil to fill in the bubbles
    • choose the best possible answer of the choices given.

Instructions to Take Practice Exams

  • Click on the Exam topic you wish to practice.

  • Take any or all as many times as you wish.

  • You will need to enter your name to begin the free exams.
    • Tests for Our Students: enter the passcode given at time of registeration.

  • Answer each question or your exam will not be scored.
    • You may skip an answer and return to it later.

  • Each question comes with a reference page number from our Course Manual.
    • The Course Manual is sent via email and delivered at class upon registration.

  • Once you finish, click Submit to receive score results and the correct answers to any missed items.

  • If you wish to retake the test, click Logout and repeat the process.

  • If you wish to take a different test;
    • Click the back arrow three times to return to the practice test page or
    • Return to our website then click the Free Practice Test link.
    • Select the next practice test.
    • Repeat the process.
