To make the day complete we arrange to have the State Notary Exam given after our Live Seminars (a separate check or money order made payable to "Secretary of State" in the amount of $40 will be required in addition to any course feesand we are so confident that you will pass that we offer a Money Back Guarantee!

We have on-site Live Scan Fingerprinting and Passport Photos available (a requirement for all new and returning notaries public).

Certified Loan Document Signing Class for the career-minded mobile notary or for those who want a better understanding of the office of the Notary Public is offered following the State Exam after our regularly scheduled live classes. State Notary Exam for Non-Students. If you wish to take the State Notary Exam at our locations after our regularly scheduled classes, there is an Advanced Registration Seat Fee of $25; at the door registration $35.

About Our Instructors

Cliff Palm, a native Californian, a successful business owner for over 30 years, notary public, mobile loan document closer, former real estate agent, a life insurance agent, bible college graduate, and a Certified Toast Master. Cliff makes the full 180 or 360 minutes of mandatory study enjoyable and fun. He makes the material understandable and likes to have an interactive and hands-on class involving all the students. And yes, you may have to put up with his jokes.


Brenda Palm, a native Arkansan and retired master teacher, is an experienced Notary Public and mobile loan document closer. She brings her educational experience and an eye for detail to the staff. Brenda's style brings real life scenarios into the instruction to make the class more pleasurable and give a richer understanding of the expectations of a California Notary Public.

Daniel Palm is a native Californian and an experienced Notary Public. Following in his father’s footsteps, he also makes the mandatory study enjoyable, hands-on, and entertaining. He has experience interacting with people and has worked face to face in customer service. In addition, Daniel has acting experience that includes being part of an improvisation group, Comedy Sportz. He has a passion for communicating with people and is a people person. Currently he is studying Psychology, and eventually wants to work with children with autism or children in foster care.

Course Material

  • Included are the Course Materials that are delivered at class and shipped via e-mail with early sign-up! The Course Manual is easy to follow and a hard copy is given to you at class.

Items to Bring to Class

  • A valid picture ID (Driver's License, Passport) current or issued within the last 5 years
  • Two #2 lead pencils
  • A 2x2 color Passport Photo (or have it taken with us on-site)
  • If you plan to take the State Exam a separate check, money order, or cashier's check made payable to "Secretary of State" in the amount of $40.

Note: Non-students may take the State Exam at our location for a $25 seat fee payable to the Academy of Notaries Public.

Reminder: All applicants are required to bring a separate check for $40 made payable to the "Secretary of State".

Six-Hour Course Schedule

8:45am - 9:15am  Registration

9:15am - 1:00pm  Course Instruction and Break

1:00pm - 2:00pm  Lunch on your own

2:00pm - 4:45pm Course Instruction and Break

5:15pm -  6:15pm State Exam

  • The State Exam is offered after our Live Notary Seminars and will require a separate $40 check or money order made payable to the Secretary of State in addition to any course fees.

6:15pm - 8:45pm Optional Loan Signing Class

  • Note: The Secretary of State requires a full 6 hours of class time. 
    No refunds for no-shows and late students; however, they may reschedule for any of our other classes for a $50 fee. Reschedule prior to class, without charge. Cancelling prior to class will result in $20 Cancellation Fee. Returned check fee $25. Schedule is subject to change.

 

Three-Hour Course Schedule

1:00pm - 1:30pm  Registration

1:30pm - 4:45pm  Course Instruction and Break

5:15pm - 6:15pm  State Exam

  • The State Exam is offered after our Live Notary Seminars and will require a separate $40 check or money order made payable to the Secretary of State in addition to any course fees.

6:15pm - 8:45pm  Optional Loan Signing Class
